Ruin starts out HOT, in typical Bladon style. Kayla is fleeing Boston after being dumped by her boyfriend Parker. On the flight back to NYC she is seated next to a hot guy who invites her to join him in his hotel room before they even exchange names. By the time you hit 10% you have already experienced one of her steamy sex scenes! From that point on the drama begins to build and once the couple is reunited a few weeks later, everything becomes much more complicated. Kayla struggles with her intense attraction to Ben, as her friends warn her to stay away from him. As is normally the case, hormones win the battle and it leads to more hot scenes between the two of them. The revelation on the last page piqued my interest in reading Ruin 2. Job well done Deborah! Some people don't like these 99 cent mini-series but I really enjoy them. I think of them as inexpensive Kindle Candy. Keep them coming!

RUIN The RUIN Series Book 1 edition by Deborah Bladon Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
So, I've never read a book by this author before, so when I was recommended this book I took a chance and bought it. I've never bought a book because of the recommendations gives me, so I'm really happy I decided to give this book a try!! I've been looking for a book that kept my attention and made me want to run to get the next book and this book did the trick!
Kayla is trying to forget about her jerk of a boyfriend who left her without looking back. She thought their love would be forever, but she was wrong. When she boards a plane to move back to New York, she meets Ben. He's gorgeous and Kayla is instantly smitten with him. After a night together, Kayla can't forget about Ben and how she felt when she was with him.
Flash forward a few weeks and there he is again. Ben. They reunite and Kayla finds out a secret about Ben that can ruin her relationship with her best friend and Ben. Who is Ben, and what is he hiding from Kayla?
This book was so good! I couldn't put it down and when I finished it, I hurried over to my computer to buy the next two books. I love the relationship between Kayla and Ben and I can't wait to see what Ben is hiding. Let's just say that cliffhanger ending shocked me.
I'm a huge fan of the author now and can't wait to read the rest of her works! I recommend this book to everyone!
If your into short and sweet with barely any drama, you'll like the series. If you're looking for troubled souls, deep dark hidden secrets, relationships tested, unexpected twists and turns, you won't like the series. And the sex is pretty basic and boring. I'm rating the first book with 4 stars because I was loving how secrets were becoming exposed and relationships on the verge of ending and beginning. As far as the complete series, I rate it with 2 stars. The first book set me up thinking ot was going to go in a direction it didn't go. With the revelations of the girl that Noah slept with the day his mother died and the secret meetings Zach was having with Kayla, I honestly thought it was going to turn the tables upside down. I was thinking that somehow Noah set up Ben to take the fall for their Mother's death. I was thinking that Noah was having secret meetings with Kayla to somehow make her pawn in his schemes. I was totally expecting that something crazy was going to happen, but it never did. It was a quick read with no meat to the story. There are so many points in the story where more layers could've been added, but nothing. The book title itself is a set to make the reader think it's going to be full of drama. I think the word, ruined, was mentioned only once. I WAS wanting to read other books by Deborah Bladon, but I'm not so sure anymore. I like a lot of impact to a story. Just because a story is short doesn't mean it can't happen.
So you meet this guy on an airplane, hook-up with him? and then you find out he’s a compassionate doctor… and you know for a fact that he has really, really, really good bedside manner… Who cares about the rumors?
I love Ben! Ben, Noah's TWIN brother? Yes, please! Move over, Noah.. and Nathan. Ben has taken up residency and is officially my new favorite and I don’t even know him all that well, but what I do know is that I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL BOOK 2 IS RELEASED!
I know longer read the synopsis for Deborah’s books, I just buy them, and read them -- I always know I am going to love them, her talents amazes me.
Honestly, I am not sure how it’s humanly possible to have released as many books as she has, this year.. And I’ve loved every series thus far, her writing is awesome. I love that she keeps her readers up to date with characters from the previous books. How she keeps their stories straight is just beyond me, and I love it! PLEASE, DON’T EVER STOP!
I feel kinda pissed at reviewers on sometimes and this is a perfect example. People say this book is good because there are great sex scenes but the book itself...sux ass. I mean I read all three books and was writing the review in my head the whole time. It's like one long middle school misunderstanding. Also, it's one novella, not 3 books. Wasn't worth $3.00. I feel like I ate vegetarian all weekend when I was expecting a steak. Review correctly people. This is not a 5 start book...at all...that's more of a Judith Mcnaught or something. At best, maybe a 2 for good sex scenes but not really. POS. I give it a one for spelling.
